Found a hidden park

Kiddos and I were out taking a hike the other day.
It was really pretty out there.
Weather was perfect and we were just ready to hike.

After a little bit we found an area with some random fireplace/BBQ's, water spouts and picnic tables.

So we stopped and got all the sticker things out of the bottoms of our shoes.
Posed for a few cute pictures and found in the back corner...
 ...a nature center.

Inside the nature center, which was free to enter so I totally loved that part, we saw a rescued deer.
She was really pretty and eventually came up to see us for all of 15 seconds.
Here is one of the rescued falcons.
They are big.
This is a smaller bird, called an American Kestrel, it was very...loud.
Here is one of the two owls they had.
I need an owl in my back yard!
No more rats and mice that way!!
Whoo hoo!!
Belle is so cute, she was trying to make the bird fly.
She was showing him how to flap his wings.
:)
 Here are their two tortoises.
Oh Michael Jr sooo wants one!

There was a little museum in there too.
It was free also.

So we went and checked it out too.
 Tons of taxidermy in there.
Aimee was not happy.
She had to leave she was so grossed out.

 Belle liked the fox.
No, she will not be getting one no matter how cute she is asking for one.

Let her take over the camera duties instead.
Here is her best shot.
It is a tarantula.
There were a few live animals in there like this and snakes.
They had bones and interesting boards of information.

Not a bad find on a hike!
